  • Supports Airmen and families
  • First sergeants are responsible for the needs of Airmen and their families 24/7
  • They ensure that support agencies, such as the chaplain and Airman and Family Readiness, are available to unit members
  • They may also help with personal issues, such as financial or housing problems, or medical appointments
