Babysitting comes with a lot of responsibilities and a high maturity level which involves being punctual, caring, strict, and maintaining a safe environment. As a babysitter I not only get the opportunity to care for kids, but I have also gained patience, dedication, time management, communication, and problem solving skills which are transferable and are valuable in any future professional settings I choose to work in.

I had the opportunity during my shadowing experience at Christus Mother Frances and other various facilities to observe many healthcare professionals as they interacted with their patients or conducted procedures. I gained insight into the daily responsibilities of each site. Attentiveness is my main focus. I made sure to pay close attention by listening, watching, and learning what each provider does for their patients. I constantly took notes to document everything I observed. I learned the importance of patient confidentiality and other polices in place.
