Work History

Calibration Technician

United States Air Force
03.2015 - Current
  • As lead technician for night-vision and fighter-jet test sets, I calibrated, troubleshot, and repaired numerous sets to meet mission timelines and ensure personnel safety.
  • I maintained a quality rate of 100% for over two years while at Shaw Air Force Base on over 250 pieces of equipment; this was from both quality checks on the equipment and from over the shoulder reviews of my calibration process.
  • Wrote and quality checked 71 training plans in under 30 days for the electronics section of the laboratory for apprentice and journeyman training levels.
  • As a quality assurance evaluator for 6 months, I oversaw 10 over the shoulder reviews, identified 36 discrepancies with equipment and processes, and finally chaired 5 root cause analysis reviews to determine fault and rehab laboratory processes.
  • Trainer for 11 personnel while at Shaw Air Force Base; mentored them from when they arrived from technical training to the journeyman skill level, ensuring quality work and thorough understanding of tasks.
  • While deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, I was the Logistics Manager where I coordinated the incoming and outgoing shipments to over 100 bases and customers; ensuring they had the correct equipment and that it safely made it to the destination.
