My role as a supply specialist in the Army specifically referred to as a "Unit Supply Specialist" (MOS 92Y), is responsible for managing and maintaining all military supplies and equipment within a unit, including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and accounting for items to ensure soldiers have the necessary gear to perform their duties effectively; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all logistical needs within my unit.

Some of my responsibilities were:

• Receiving and inspecting supplies: Checking incoming deliveries for accuracy and condition upon receipt.
• Inventory management: Keeping track of all supplies through proper record-keeping and conducting periodic inventory checks.
• Storage and security: Properly storing supplies in designated areas and ensuring their security.
• Issuing supplies: Distributing supplies to soldiers as needed based on authorized requests.
• Accountability: Maintaining accurate records of all supplies and equipment to ensure proper accountability.
• Damage and loss reporting:Investigating and reporting any damaged or missing supplies.
• Supply requisitioning: Placing orders for necessary supplies when stock levels are low.
• Maintenance and preservation: Performing basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
