• Reached out and spoke to nearby middle school students about their wellbeing in their transition into high school.

• Created a "Start With Hello" week to end social isolation on campus.
• Made a "Promise Poster" for students to promise to be kind to others by signing their name and hung the poster in the cafeteria.

Student Ambassador - Mental Health Student Advisory Committee

• Two students from every public school in Hillsborough County meet to collaborate and create ways to build a safer school environment.
• Brought new knowledge back to my school to help organize a "Mental Health Week."

• Joined with other student ambassador across the district to create a teen advocacy group that discovered ways to help both themselves and others in their struggles with mental health.

NOPE: Narcotics Overdose Prevention Education

I was the only student volunteer who helped NOPE prepare for their yearly candlelight vigils for those who were victim to the opioid epidemic. 

• Helped county officials coordinate and design their yearly vigil.
• Attended yearly school-wide presentations from those with personal experiences to the epidemic.

Teen Mental Health First Aid USA, 03/2023 - Current

National Council for Mental Wellbeing

I took a training class to become certified in identifying warning signs and treating teens with mental health struggles. 

• Adapted teaching methods to educate those with no knowledge on the severity of mental health.
• Assisted teens who were experiencing mental health struggles and provided them with helpful resources.

Accompanied my high school's guidance department on their visits to local middle schools.

• Alleviated students and their parents on their fears of entering high school.
