• Work with the public as well as the commercial agriculture sector to enforce the agricultural quarantine laws. Inspect commercial trucks entering the state with all types of goods and commodities, inspect and collect specimens of pest found in agricultural goods. Process rejections of infested produce and commodities. Put into place Notice of Quarantine Hold for inspection of certain Agricultural Products

• Created and delivered seed orders, operated a forklift, took care of shipping and receiving as well as monitoring inventory and maintained warehouse. Assisted in the planting, mapping and the plotting of vegetable seed trials. Evaluated trials once they matured.

Directly worked for the pest abatement program by making, setting and then collecting traps for California Red Scale within the citrus fields in the Yuma County area mainly the Yuma mesa area. Under the direction of my supervisor successfully coordinated a fumigation assignment.

• Travel throughout farms in Southern California and Arizona to collect vegetable and water samples. Make maps and plot out where samples and data were retrieved from. Educated farm workers on food safety protocols and applied food safety rules and regulations.

• Assisted in the planting of field trials, made seed deliveries, managed the warehouse including shipping, receiving and inventory. transplanted selected lettuce varieties, took care of greenhouse, harvested for seed as well as evaluating and collecting crop data.
