Jair Mejia II

I am an enthusiastic Certified Nurse Assistant eager to contribute to patient and team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. I believe in communicating clearly so that all parties understand each other and I also believe in putting the needs of patients before mine. I am a very focused and independent individual who is interested in providing high quality healthcare no matter what. Since I was a child I have been helping others in anyway I could and it has become second nature to me. Growing up my grandfather had Alzheimer's and I noticed that not all of his nurses treated him very well. From that time on I knew I wanted to work in healthcare so that I could treat patients or residents with dignity and respect. I try to make it a habit to do one kind act each day which prepared me in becoming a CNA. I am motivated to learn from and be around the healthcare environment and all of its workers. I am a person who makes friends easily as I am very approachable, kind and funny but when it is time to be serious and do my job I can also do that. At the end of the day my main priority is to provide the best care that I can and to make the patients stay as comfortable as possible.

• Represented my high school in the CIF Southern Section Track and Field Championships in 2019
• My team and I placed first in the San Gabriel Valley Track and Field Championships varsity 4x400m
• I placed third in the San Gabriel Valley Track and Field Championships varsity 400m
• I placed fourth in the Del Rey League 400m championship
• I have shared the boxing ring with multiple amateur national champions
• I became the first CNA in my family
• First generation college student
• I took honors and AP classes in high school
• My greatest accomplishment is being a positive role model for my siblings
