Attentive social service college student with an educational background providing specialized observation, needs assessment and coaching of youth with, and without, special needs. Seasoned at teaching skills to boost quality of life and promote positive interactions. Focused on delivering and propelling seamless, low stress, communication. I am very interested in finding a first job that will allow me to intertwine my educational skillset with my volunteer experience to provide a superior experience for the customer and/or client.
I recently discovered the sport of rock climbing. As I have begun to enter this experience I have discovered that it has improved not only my physical well being but it has also sharpened my mental acuity. Rock climbing requires focus, courage, intense strategic preparation and willpower. While I learn to hone these skills to become a better climber I have begun to see that the skillsets are translating into other areas of my life. Often overlooked by those unfamiliar with Rock Climbing is that it is not a one person sport. You often hold the rope and ensure the safety of those you're climbing with. It is your job to arrest their fall, using that rope, and protect them. My focus, listening, attention to detail, and diligence have strengthened. Above all I have seen a dramatic increase in my patience and problem solving. These skills allow me to excel at nearly any task while putting the needs of others above my own.
