  • MCJROTC, Daniel Boone, In high school, I was part of the MCJROTC unit that my school, Daniel Boone, offered. I excelled at Precision air rifle Marksmanship where I was able to compete across the nation, traveling with my team and instructors. My team and I broke records for accuracy and competed at Regional, Jr. Olympic, and National Matches. Through ROTC, I did a lot of community service at the school that I continued to do at Northeast State.
  • ROTC, During my first year at Northeast State, I went back to my high school ROTC and helped with several events, but during my last fall semester at Northeast, I went and helped clean up my friend’s grandparents’ yard that had been damaged severely by flood waters from Hurricane Helene.

My academic and career goals are developing as I finish my tenure at ETSU. I have the aspirations to become a filmmaker and to work in the media film industry, where I can use my creative talents to produce content that will encourage, lift up, and inspire people. My academic goals are to always have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and maintain an A average in my remaining classes before I graduate. I have a work ethic that points me towards producing things of value instead of mere busy work, and I strive to create things, whether they be videos, essays, stories, or art pieces, in order to be an accomplishment I can look back on. I want to work in a field that utilizes my skills and interests in documentary filmmaking, research, history, writing, and visualization so that my goals can be accomplished.
