1. Experience in developing,

implementing and evaluating risk-based  compliance plans


In my previous role as a fishing guide , I developed a safety plan that was implemented day to day on charter , 

starting with a safety briefing with staff , and than with guests , assessing the risks of the day with weather and other hazards , and navigating waters to comply GRMPA (the great barrier reef marine park authority ) and making sure the guests are familiar with safety and making sure all safety gear and boat comply with AMSA specifications , As a result my guests and my staff all regularly had a fun safe educational day on the water


In my current role as a auto electrician , at the start of each day i conduct a toolbox meeting outlining incoming  jobs and potential risks for the day, making sure all staff are on the same page and complying with WHS safety standards  , as a result our days ran smooth with both customers and employees, both safe and happy 


2. Experience in building and managing effective stakeholder relationships 

In my current role as auto electrician we  often reach out to stake holders with ideas for potential growth ,incorporating other business's working parallel with them to gain mutual growth is a regular practice


In my personal life  Garmin a stakeholder of mine have entrusted me with sponsorship, we have built a healthy relationship  together , building social media presence and helping advertise there product in a new modern way

I have never been a fisheries officer ,given my broad working history I believe I could quickly learn and easily apply these skills to the role.

I am willing to obtain or undertake any courses or education in regards to this role 


4. experience in leading and developing staff capability and potential in a small team

in my previous role as a fishing guide , I managed a less experienced staff on numerous occasions, I provided clear and educational knowledge on how  water practices ,docking ,safe fish handling and sustainable fishing practises are undertaken , and happily took the extra time to break down a task and help my staff understand the importance and safety to doing a job safely and correctly , this has allowed multiple staff members to progress in there own careers

i have no experience in fisheries patrol duties , i do have a vast amount of experience offshore and the understanding and capabilities to plan operations  to optimise compliance , In my previous  role as a fishing guide i would meticulously  plan fishing trips  around tides wind and swell within permitted zoning to comply with the great barrier marine park authority (GRMPA)
