A cigar and pipe enthusiast for over 20 years I have experienced many aspects of the brother/sisterhood and always increased my knowledge on the subject. With over two decades at the United States Navy, I excelled in enhancing crew capabilities and operational efficiency, ensuring the advancement of personnel by creating comprehensive training programs. My adept organizational skills and proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and stock management reflect my commitment to excellence and team collaboration.
Responsible for the training, qualification, wellbeing,
mentoring, and accountability of 80 personnel. Direct engagement and advisement to the Commanding
Officer in tactics, operation and employment of the SONAR system, and crew matters relating to SONAR
division. Maintained and planned watchbills 1 year in advance consisting of 5 watch stations for 3 watch
sections by planning out personnel qualifications, rotations, and interpersonal relationships. Oversaw the
advancement of all personnel by at least one paygrade by creating a robust training plan consisting of on the
job training, required reading, and various examinations.
Advised/sold different careers paths for 120 personnel while I was the SONAR rating lead at Naval Submarine School. Advised/sold different paths in tactics, operations, and crew moral to 8 different commanding officers.
Ordered, researched, tracked, and kept stock of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of repair parts and consumables. Working with vendors over the phone and in person to acquire said parts. Ensured the submarines had everything from million dollar computer servers to toilet paper to complete the mission.
High standards for cleanliness, preservation, and storage. 23 years experience keeping submarines clean, in working order, and presentable. A clean ship is a happy ship and reflects everything about the ship itself and the people that work in it. Emphatic believer in if there is time to lean there is time to clean.
Presenting a positive can do attitude on all days to keep moral up for the crew and treating my seniors orders and vision as my own for the betterment of the whole command.
22 years experience as a cigar smoker, BOTL, and consumer. 15 years experience with pipes and pipe tobacco. Patron to at least 50 separate cigar shops. Past member of the CRA. Member of several cigar foums and Discord servers. Have smoked at least 2 cigars a week for the past 2 years, usually 1-2 per day. I have smoked more cigar brands than I can think of and usually have on hand over 200 cigars. I am smoking more pipes now that the weather is cooling and have a few hundred pounds of tobacco. Mostly C&D, McClelland, Gwaith, Gwaith and Hoggardth, and Solani. I've owned many pipes but prefer the Missouri Meerschum 5th Ave Diplomat with a forever stem as I have a full 7 day set. I've been a member of the Virginia Cigar Militia and have gifted many cigars to friends to have a moment together. Cigar's and pipe's are my main hobby. I have trained and taught 50 people on the subject of cigars, pipes, tobacco, and the consumer side of cigars/pipes.
