I am applying for the 2nd Shift - Assembly Supervisor position as I believe I would be a great fit within this organization and possess the essential qualifications . My ability to communicate affectively and efficiently, as well as my drive to continuously improve not only our processes, but most importantly our people is what makes me believe I am an excellent candidate for this role.

As a Production Lead at SMC, I have demonstrated these skills during my shift as well as within my Team and co-workers. I have become more proficient with taking lead when issues come, and being able to problem solve these making them a teaching moment for all involved.

  • Strong sense for statistics/analytics. With that I found processing errors in our labor tracking for PPLH. This led me to tracking data for three months and presenting it to all production managers at SMC.
  • Extremely well adept in learning new skills and are able to replicate them with accuracy and efficiency. Learned the general makings of a production lead and was able to handle one weeks worth of solo lead work with no supervisor three months into my job.
  • Huge advocate for communication and believe it is the cornerstone to any business. I strive to not only communicate efficiently and appropriately to my bosses/ other leads, but to all of my coworkers as well. I work diligently to ensure everyone is on the same page and has the valuable production information they need.
  • During my time working here I have learned how to accurately identify quality issues with production products and understand the differences in all types of quality defects.
  • Has handled scheduling of operators for daily duties, time and attendance, PTO, trained operators, and kept shifts activities moving accordingly.

  • My first experience with IQMS systems and their most basic functions helped teach me backcounts, cycle times, and how to look at SWI’s on certain presses at the time.
  • This job was what first showed me how capable I was at being able to multitask and think multiple steps ahead about other things. Now I can do this with more advanced complexity, but learning to handle three presses or how to best optimize a door job really showed what I was capable of learning.
  • SMC also pushed an accelerated environment of learning to move with the demand that we offered to people also pushed my potential as well.
