At GameStop, I was required to know basic computer literacy skills in order to correctly work the Point of Service system (the cash register). These skills included memorizing basic commands on the computer, as well as printing and sorting specific papers and properly packaging items to be mailed off. This job also required great customer service and communication skills, including interacting with customers and resolving conflicts that arose.
As a cashier at Riverfill, I was responsible for interacting with customers as they came to the till, meaning I required great customer service and people skills. I was also held responsible for keeping correct change at all times, and ensuring that I was handling cash properly, which demonstrates a high level of responsibility. Another facet of my responsibilities included keeping the cinema clean and neat, including sweeping and mopping the lobby and bathrooms.
