My name is Jamari Washington, and I’ve been passionate about technology and coding since I was a kid growing up in Chicago. In 6th grade, I built my first game using Scratch and won second place in a school competition. That moment sparked something in me—an excitement for coding that never left. At the time, I didn’t see it as a realistic career path. But now, I understand the power of my skills and the impact they can have—and I’m fully committed to using them to help shape the future of tech.
When I moved to California at 14, I reconnected with coding by joining The Hidden Genius Project, where I learned to code using Python and HTML. There, I built another game from the ground up and advanced through the program to become a Youth Educator (YE). From 2019 to the present, I’ve been teaching other young people the basics of programming and helping them discover their potential, just like I discovered mine.
Recently, I also earned my Google Cybersecurity Certification, which expanded my technical toolkit and further deepened my understanding of how to protect systems and data in today’s digital world. I believe tech is not just the future—it’s the foundation of our present—and I’m eager to be a part of building it.
If you hire me, you’ll gain a goal-setter, a high achiever, and a hard worker who is always ready to learn, adapt, and contribute. I bring hands-on experience, a leadership mindset, and a passion for technology that has been growing for nearly a decade.
Thank you for considering my application. I would be honored to join your team and bring my energy, knowledge, and work ethic to your organization. I’m excited to speak more about how I can make an impact.
Sincerely,
Jamari Washington
