  • As an Outreach Coordinator with All Kings, I play a pivotal role in supporting formerly incarcerated men and at-risk young men by fostering personal growth, leadership, and community engagement
  • Through outreach efforts and leadership development, I assist participants in their journey from justice involvement to becoming credible messengers, offering mentorship and guidance in various capacities
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Participant Engagement: Engage with justice-involved individuals, explaining the benefits of All Kings programs and offering guidance through one-on-one interactions at precincts, community organizations, and other outreach points
  • Community-Based Support: Motivate participants to engage with case managers and attend All Kings workshops and leadership development programs to help them reintegrate and thrive within their communities
  • Emergency and On-Demand Support: Provide real-time support, both in-person and remotely, ensuring participants have access to critical resources, such as mental health services, housing, and employment assistance
  • Program Facilitation: Lead and facilitate All Kings workshops, helping participants cultivate leadership and facilitation skills, and foster healing within peer-led circles
  • Naloxone Distribution & Training: Equip participants with necessary tools such as Naloxone kits and training to empower them to handle emergency situations
  • Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with criminal justice agencies, community-based organizations, and professionals such as parole/probation officers to ensure participant success
  • Establish partnerships that foster personal growth and community leadership among formerly incarcerated men
  • Recruitment & Program Expansion: Lead recruitment efforts, actively seeking participants for All Kings programs and working to expand the peer-led support network throughout New York City's re-entry community
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of participant interactions and outcomes for internal review, ensuring all activities are tracked and aligned with program goals
  • Skills & Experience: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in facilitating group discussions and leading workshops
  • Also telling my life story and experience at public speaking events and being able to hold the attention of an entire room
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple agencies, including criminal justice organizations and community service providers
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in email, spreadsheets, and database systems for tracking participant progress and program outcomes
  • Knowledge of community resources and services related to reentry, particularly within New York City
  • Ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of participants
