- Inspected facilities and proactively detected and diagnosed potential or actual maintenance or repair needs by listening, looking and using precision measuring and testing instruments. As a maintenance worker, I also learned other jobs at the Allan Water Treatment Plant. I operated the city ditch that ran throughout the city all the way to Denver. Taking readings and recording usage. Belt press operator. Bac-Tee sampler, morning water readings, and pump readings. In the summer, I was in charge of maintaining the grounds at the plant, mowing, and fertilizing the plant. and in the winter, I did snow removal for a safe facility. Outside the plant, we had five sites to maintain. Set up yearly grounds maintenance on those. Winter set up snow removal of outside facilities. After 25 years, I worked along with another department to coordinate projects. Setting up meeting rooms. Cleaning, painting, electrical, plumbing, cement, asphalt, and other projects to get bids. Fixing the equipment at the plant that was used. Operated front-end loaders, dump trucks, etc. Worked at my wife's cake shop as a front-end person. Taking orders, waiting on customers, and running the cash register. After 25 years and retired, I am looking to get something part-time to keep me busy. I have always been very active and love to be outside. I play golf and work out 3 to 5 times a week. I am willing to always try new things that challenge me. I built a 2-car garage and a 5-sided shed at my home. I like keeping my yard looking good in the summer.
