JMK Consultants, LLC is a state-licensed private investigation company specializing in pre-employment background investigations for law enforcement agencies. Our background investigations are conducted by trained investigators to California P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) standards and guidelines.

• Supervise and coordinate the investigation of criminal intelligence cases, offering guidance and expertise to investigators and ensuring that procedures are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations
• Supervise and coordinate all department in-service training for sworn and civilian law enforcement staff to comply with state-mandated regulations
• Developed and implemented a comprehensive public safety security plan and traffic management operational plan for events at the new SoFi Football Stadium and Kia Forum Concert Venue
• Worked directly and closely with MSG representatives during the $100 million renovation in 2014 to develop a robust safety & security plan and implemented a strategic public transportation and parking plan for the venue
• Was the lead law enforcement liaison to SoFi Stadium and Kia Forum for all special events and major award shows at the venue and worked closely with security operations, guest relations, NFL Security, LA Rams and LA Chargers team operations, tour producers, event promoters, and VIPs
• The lead law enforcement liaison developing the overall public safety security plan for Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium in February 2022, working, and coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies
• The lead law enforcement liaison developing the overall public safety security plan for the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Game at SoFi Stadium in January 2023, working, and coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Conducted thorough investigations on high-profile cases, resulting in successful prosecution of offenders.
• Oversaw budgeting processes for the department, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining necessary resources for operations.

• Supervise and coordinate team members during high-risk warrants and other high-risk incidents, such as barricaded suspect operations
• Provide tactical training to team members
• Review training proposals and after-action reports
• Research, test, and implement new tactics for the SWAT team
• Develop operational plans.

• Train and evaluate assigned personnel; assist with training and orientation of new employees; provide training, guidance, and counseling to assigned personnel; complete employee performance evaluations and reviews as required; promote the career development of subordinates
• Planning, approving, scheduling, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating Specialized, Advanced Officer, and Remedial Training
• Maintaining Department and POST training records
• Ensuring required training programs are attended and Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Continuous Professional Training (CPT) requirements are met

• Conducted investigations to identify suspicious activities, violations of policies and regulations and potential threats.

• Patrol designated areas of the city by car, by foot, or other means to preserve law and order, discover and prevent the commission of crimes, and enforce traffic and other laws and ordinances; protect real and personal property by providing security checks of residential, business, and public premises; maintain awareness of and remains alert for wanted suspects, known criminals, stolen vehicles, missing persons, traffic violators, and crimes in progress; issue warnings and citations
• Respond to calls for the protection of life and property, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, public service calls, and complaints, including those involving automobile accidents, traffic hazards, misdemeanor and felony incidents, domestic disturbances, property control, civil complaints, and related incidents; investigate complaints and takes appropriate action, which may include the use of deadly or non-deadly force; use sound judgment under adverse, stressful conditions
• Conduct investigations at scenes of incidents to which summoned, or incidents observed; determine what crime has been committed; identify, collect, preserve, process, and book evidence; locate and interview victims and witnesses; identify and interrogate suspects
• Assignments worked at were K-9 handler from January 1995 to August 2002 and Field Training Officer (FTO) from February 1994 to January 1995.
