I began with CSC as the accounts payable associate, which I performed until a new Chief of Security was required.

Chief of Security - Direct and indirect supervisor for over 100 correctional security staff, including safety, security, and direct supervision of shift supervisors. Monitored inmate behaviors, corrective measures, and institutional security, inside and out.

Warden, Littlefield, Texas - Replaced previous warden, who was removed for cause. Supervised all staff assigned to the prison, including security staff, programs staff, and clerical staff, as well as maintenance and training staff. Responsible for budget decisions, including monitoring all monies for the institution, all expenditures and needs.

I earned seven promotions during my 20 year career, each promotion bringing more responsibility for safety, security, supervision of incarcerated felons, including at different times, minimum custody, medium custody, maximum custody, and condemned row.

Chief of Security of, ASPC-F, East Unit, ASPC-F, CB6 (Both condemned row and detention inmates. Chief of Security for ASPC-F, Central Unit, housing 1000 maximum custody inmates. Chief of Security of ASPC - Eyman, including medium custody units, sex offender units, and maximum custody units, and condemned row, totaling 5500 inmates, 1000 security staff, hundreds of programs, clerical, maintenance, and other support staff.

Chief of Security of ASPC-Florence, including all custody levels, 900+ security staff, programs, clerical, maintenance, and other support staff.

Tactical Support Unit member, and squad leader.

Crisis intervention team, as an FBI trained negotiator.

Certified Senior Trainer, certified senior firearms instructor, certified trainer of over 100 different lesson plans.

As an Associate Deputy Warden of a sex offender yard, I was responsible for all programs and program staff. I functioned as the acting deputy warden during his absences.

Deputy Warden, minimum custody, ASPC-Lewis, responsible for all staff within the units, supervised programs staff, including inmate job assignments,, all unit security staff including a captain, six lieutenants, eight sergeants, and over 100 correctional officers. I retired March 1, 2005.
