Since being employed at KMG i have learned many positions in the department i currently work in.
I started at station 326/122 where i would ensure that all parts being bent were to specification. First I would make sure any and all parts matched the blueprint and in the event they needed i would cut each part to ensure it matched and then i would proceed to clean and debur the parts to further ensure proper fitment. Next i would move on to checking and marking each part on the correct end if it called for a bead and i would mark each one to ensure that each part got the bead it needed on the right end.
After doin that for about 7 months or so i saw an opportunity to learn something new and I applied for Solder/Braze. After testing i was chosen for the position where i excelled rather quickly in learning the proper procedures to both solder and braze.
In solder and braze we take the parts that were cut
cleaned
and beaded and build them to the parts we ship out. Each part is soldered and/or brazed to company standard before being shipped to a sister company to be directly applied to whichever bus they were built for. Although i still am currently in solder and braze i had the opportunity to further my knowledge by getting signed off in a couple other areas on copper side. That being said I can now say i am qualified to do pretty much any area in copper.
I strongly believe i carry leadership skills and the knowledge to be an asset to the department.
