Review work products for technical accuracy, proper application of law/policy, and accept/amend finished products. Set and evaluate performance standards, recommend awards, identify developmental and training needs of employees.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to regulation from higher authority. Prepare/present flag level briefings, point papers, reports, analysis, and recommendations to formulate decisions regarding long-and short-range program planning and execution in support of mandated Federal, DoD, and DoN personnel requirements.
  • Propose new organizational structures, realignment of functions and staffing levels to improve efficiency.
  • Develop position descriptions. Recruits and interview personnel for appointment or reassignment to the various branches within PERS-8 of Navy Personnel Command.
