  • After advancing through the Training Department i assumed the role as a Week 1 Trainer/ MHE Trainer. this position adheres to a Monday through friday schedule as it caters to Associates in their first week of employment.
  • A 1st Week Trainer is to promptly Greet and Introduce yourself to newly hired associates upon their entry into the building for orientation. After All new hires are seated the Trainer must take pictures for every individuals ID Badge and email them out to the corresponding Guard Shack to then be printed out and delivered. After Reviewing the written GMP Test as a Team we then proceed to tour the building and Attend the Safety Meeting Required by all employees.
  • The next 3 Workdays are spent Training and evaluating the new hires Safe MHE Operation. This includes meeting them upon arrival for their shift and then transporting them to a separate facility via Company Vehicle to Continue training in a more controlled environment as to not interrupt the productively or work flow of the main building Operations.
  • Each of the 3 days are Spent ingraining MHE Safety and Operational Safety through the means of Driving courses, Reviewing Checklists and Direction to propel confidence.
  • Aside from MHE training for 14-20 hours over a 3 day period the goal at this facility is to physically/mentally prepare the Trainees for the role of an Industrial Athlete. This includes leading Group stretches after every break, Instructing and Demonstrating Proper Pallet rapping Techniques and Safe lifting procedures to increase the longevity of the Selectors career. This included timed trials and obstacles to instill a strong sense of time management as well as to inspire an uplifting atmosphere and further any competitive drive within the group.
  • Friday being the last day of the work week; The new hires are at the main building for the rest of their career. The last day of their first week is spent Introducing the system that they will be using Daily (Jennifer System), Over viewing the Commands and features of said unit. The Trainer must present Power points to explain the Incentive Pay structure and how to calculate it based on performance and goal times.
  • Before introducing the group to different parts of management there is a 3 part test done as a group for PalletJack Operation, Safe Lifting and introductory to safety and once completed they are to be Certified and briefed on they're schedule going forward. A detailed review of their productivity, participation and expectations are to be sent to the corresponding departments along with all documentation regarding certifications and paper work necessary for their future careers.
  • As and MHE Trainer fluidity in excel,powerpoint, and Outlook is necessary. Also a deep understanding of Red Prairie, Vocalect and Lucas is to be expected.
