Hartnell College Genomics Group, October 2021 - November 2021

• Worked together with a team of biology professors and students to map the genomic chloroplast of the endangered plant Amorpha californica var Napensis
• Learned the programs Geneious Prime and Illumina Sequences, to analyze and record the chloroplast DNA
• Wrote and published our final peer-reviewed work in the scientific journal Mitochondrial DNA part B: Resources

Marine Biology Experience 

Chemical and Physical Methods of Aquatic Environments class at UCSB, January 2024 - March 2024

• Collaborated with 12 other students to record and analyze aquatic environment data
• Learned how to properly use various instruments like a YSI meter or secchi disk
• Analyzed collected samples by performing titrations, using spectrophotometers, and coding in MATLAB
• Discussed and interpreted the measured results in comprehensive lab reports
