James R. Ladlee

Experienced and confident leader with over three decades of demonstrated expertise leading teams and fostering positive stakeholder outcomes through engagement, applied research, and science-based education that extends beyond the university walls. Recent professional highlights include spearheaded the Emerging and Advanced Technology (EAT) Center, driving the integration and deployment of cutting-edge technology solutions for individuals and businesses operating within living systems, with a keen focus on sustainability, efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability. The EAT project attracted over $1.4 million in grant funding in less than 1-year. Leadership of the state broadband mapping and geospatial intelligence team has been instrumental in securing over half a billion dollars in broadband deployment funding for Pennsylvania. This exceptional team's direct efforts resulted in directly obtaining $117.6 million in broadband funding for Pennsylvania, and played a pivotal role in accessing an additional $418 million in broadband deployment resources. Finally, as a founding member of Top Courses for Regulators and Policymakers (TOPCORP), the team successfully trained professionals in more than 22 states and over 20 countries, while attracting over $7.5 million in gift funding to advance this transformative initiative.
