Experienced Manager adept at orchestrating the continuous daily operations of a high-volume Immigration Court, supporting both the Court Administrator and seventeen Immigration Judges. Successfully oversee a team of fourteen legal assistants, guiding their performance, setting strategic goals, and ensuring optimal productivity. Provide technical supervision to staff in locating, generating, organizing, assembling, cross- referencing, and providing required case information to Immigration Judges.
Temporary promotion to Court Administrator. In this role I was able to bring prior experience in leadership by supporting the Assistant Chief Immigration Judge with managing the courts operational needs and docket management. I was tasked with addressing the challenges of virtual proceedings and a significant asylum backlog, I excel in overseeing the docket management for seventeen Immigration Judges with precision and efficiency. Skilled in evaluating priorities and organizing dockets, I ensure optimal workflow and case management. I was trusted with supervising a management team, providing counsel, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary. I am proficient in conducting interviews, selecting candidates, and fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. I directly supported the Superior Court Administrator with highly complex, administrative and supervisory duties in relation to the daily operations of ten Superior Court Judges and seven Senior Judges for Cobb County I was responsible for monitoring the performance of various court programs to ensure efficiency for their established goals and compliance with court policy and procedures. I evaluated ongoing development and management of the following programs: court services, alternative dispute resolution mediation, child support services, Accountability Courts, financial and budget development, strategic planning, human resources, information technology, security, facilities management, capital planning, public relations, and other divisions or staff as required. I established collaborative relationships with the judges, court personnel, state and county officials, attorneys, clerks, sheriffs' offices, community partners and the public. In this role I was entrusted with confidential and highly sensitive issues.
As a victim advocate I provided specialized victim advocacy to victims of sexual assault and Human Trafficking which included case management, victim and witness trial management. In addition to helping victims navigate the criminal justice system, one of my greatest achievements was my role in the Sexual Assault Justice Initiative. I collected and synthesized data of all sexual assaults in Cobb County, for current and future data analysis to display the need and purpose of current and future grant funds. With this data I was able to create a data tracking system that is utilized through a collaborative agreement with the DA's Office, local law enforcement agencies, and community partners to determine gaps in service, opportunities for improved response to victims, and to determine reasoning in case attrition.
