Summary

A majority of my career as a speech pathologist was spent working in underserved, economically disadvantaged communities. I am privileged to have had a wonderful, fulfilling career. I chose the field of speech pathology because overcoming a speech and language disorder can greatly improve someone's life, and I enjoyed the process of collaborating with professionals from a variety of disciplines to create a unique treatment plan for each new case we received. It is this same desire to work directly with people to improve their lives for the better that attracts me to the field of medicine.
