I developed teamwork, leadership, and confidence during my time as a cheerleader in high school. Leveling up as the team captain my freshman year in high school influenced an ability to take charge no matter my environment. Being hand-picked as one of the three Student Equity and Inclusion representatives in my high school instilled in me the ability to observe my environment, promptly identify issues, and implement solutions that benefits all races and genders at my school. Participating in the Young Woman Empowerment for Leadership program helped me my personal and professional growth. It developed values of independence and self reliance, empowering me to strive for success without compromise. During my short time as a track athlete, I acquired the ability to transcend my own limits no matter the challenges or unforeseen circumstances that arise. As a volunteer at my church, I developed into a warm and hospitable young woman. My motivations weren't driven by society, but rather the principles and values of the Lord.
