Jane Hasty

Motivated individual with a strong foundation in patience and empathy. Engages effectively with others and monitors progress through hands-on experience as a swim instructor. Committed to creating positive experiences that enhance skills and build confidence.

From 2019 to 2021 I was a member of the BLAST swim team at the Verdugo Pool in Burbank. This time not only helped me develop my swimming skills but also taught me valuable life lessons, including:

• Technique and discipline in my training
• The importance of being a team player
• How to work effectively in small spaces with others

In addition to my time on the swim team, I am also a classically trained vocalist. I will be attending UCLA in the fall of 2026 to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance. Throughout my vocal journey, I have been fortunate enough to receive several notable awards, including:

• Young Arts Winner with Distinction
• Music Center Spotlight Grand Finalist
• 3rd place in the Nation for the Schmidt Voice Competition
• Finalist for the Jerry Herman Awards

I believe these experiences have not only shaped my skills but also my dedication to both swimming and music.
