I’m passionate about wildlife and conservation and understand the importance of learning how to protect our precious wildlife. I studied Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science BSC (Hons) and my dissertation was based at The Wild Place Project and involved me researching and reporting on how public viewing of the cheetahs affected their behaviour. I used CCTV footage taken at specific times of day to collect data for analysis. The outcome and my recommendations were agreed and improvements are currently underway to enrich the future of the cheetahs. I also carried out ecological assessments and reporting on various species in the field. This involved travelling to sites to carry out the work. While attending college I volunteered at a zoo farm for two years and this helped me to understand their specific needs and I gained experience in the sensitivities of caring for a diverse range of wildlife.
