I came to this country 22 yrs. ago and ,became a caregiver for a private home duty setting. Usually i take care of one patient, until they pass away. I also been a CNA from the American Red Cross and working in a Long-term Facility. through an agency, that provides the staff for a Facility.
In 2019. I went back to school to renew my CNA license,
and worked for Santa Caritas Post Acute, in Newhall City CA. and the went back to work in a private duty nursing.
When I became a caregiver in this country, I was very curious with food and it's diversity of the population. I would check out the nutritional diet of the clients and it's kind, since Unite State is a multi-cultural diverse Country. What makes me more interested and passionate to work with elderly adult, because they are easy to please with food that they put into their bodies and specially when the taste of food are not the same as it use to, making them good food from scratch would make them, feel better and felling healthy at the same time. When serving good nutritional food that taste better than the usual. It became my stress reliever to cook for the clients no matter how sick they are they would want to try my cooking as long as they are able to eat. I always believe that every culture people has its own food as "medicine" and i really go out of my way to take care and making sure that by the end of the day , my client will have a smile on there face or a least feel better because they tried there comfort food that they desire made from a heather manner.
