• Provides support to the multidisciplinary health care team to maintain and promote the standards of care and safety.
• Provides assistance with transportation of patients, room turnover, equipment
• Recognizes when equipment needs repair and follows up with appropriate personnel or department
• Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital.

• Facilitates the turning over of Operating rooms between and after each case. Tasks include but are not limited to: Cleaning floors, wiping down equipment, disposing of waste and dirty supplies (including anaesthesia machine area), assisting in patient transfer, and coordinating with surgical team, EVS and nursing staff for efficient flow processes
• Demonstrates respect for patient confidentiality, privacy, dignity, and rights.
• Demonstrates accountability for supplies, equipment, and environmental support
• Ensures that necessary equipment and supplies are present in the operating rooms and on the unit. Gives direct assistance to all health care surgical team members.

• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs all required

processes related to cell saver salvage intra operatively, as well as provides technical support and assistance to Preoperative team members with use of orthopedic equipment.

• Sorts organizes and tracks equipment to ensure availability and upkeep. Provides assessment and troubleshooting for equipment related issues. Manages and updates equipment tracking tools for maintenance checks in collaboration with biomedical. Communicates with equipment vendors to coordinate service.
• Follows all standards of care and communicates all required information to the RN circulator and anesthesiologist. Distributes allograft and ensures proper documentation for tracking and compliance. Documents all required information specific to the cell salvage procedure.
• Responsible for complying with all mandated quality assurance information. Maintains statistics as per department requirements. Fulfils all code of conduct, hospital rules and regulations, dress code requirements in the operating room and patient safety.

• Report to Supervisor for assignment. Obtain cleaning equipment and insure all cleaning items are in place. Proceed to destination and introduce self to patient/visitors/employees and briefly explain your assignment.
• Visually inspects area upon completion of cleaning to ensure appropriate levels of cleaning and neatness have been achieved. Obtains cleaning supplies and cleaning chemicals to complete assignments.
• Stock closet/cart with needed supplies/chemicals to complete required assignments. Maintains cart in neat clean orderly condition.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines when using chemicals. Ensures all chemicals are secured when leaving the area. Maintains cart in working order.

• Performing routine repairs and maintenance on the building, grounds and equipment.
• Making minor repairs to furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
• Maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Perform carpentry work, painting, and landscaping.
• Maintaining a maintenance log and report any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
• Responding to repair and maintenance requests in a timely manner.

• Responsible for the general maintenance tasks to support operation requirements of a campus consisting of 16.3 acres complex multi-level buildings.
• Responsible for completing all assigned cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping and trash collection and disposal.
• Perform landscape maintenance by mowing lawns, sweeping sidewalks and walkways, collecting trash, and shoveling snow.
• Assist with inventory control and transport deliveries of supplies, furniture and other equipment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and other professionals on renovations and special project work.
• Responsible for reporting issues to facilities or maintenance supervisor.
• Move heavy furniture, set up and break down of tables and chairs.
• Operate commercial floor cleaning equipment and/or snow removal equipment.
