Dynamic Accounts Payable Clerk with a proven track record at Pottawatomie County Clerk, excelling in invoice processing and vendor management. Recognized for enhancing accuracy and efficiency, I leverage strong auditing proficiency and exceptional customer service skills to drive operational excellence and foster positive vendor relationships. This position required close attention to purchasing laws and regulations to obtain a spotless yearly audit. Experience with Microsoft, Excel, Kellpro, as well as scanning invoices, PO’s, and checks.
I volunteered for the city of Shawnee for almost 30 years. They host a 10 day event each summer called the IFYR. It’s a youth rodeo that brings in about 1,200 to 1,500 contestants and their families each July. I was the camping committee chair where I organized and made their camping assignments and vowed to be there for any of their needs during the event. A very rewarding event that is put on yearly by about 500 volunteers. I organized our 3 day around the clock check-in process checking in the contestants camping units and escorting them to their assigned camp spots. I had almost a 100 volunteers that saw that we welcomed them all to Shawnee, Oklahoma with open arms.
There’s a cap in my employment from 1990 to 2013. My husband was an over the road truck driver. I was a stay at home mom to raising our boys. Probably my most rewarding job was my most recent in the Pottawatomie County Clerk’s office. I loved the challenge and the opportunity to serve the county paying bills for the whole county, each district, rule fire departments, sheriff’s office, senior citizens only to name a few. In 2023 I lost my husband unexpectedly. In order to draw his social security I could only work part time. My boss needed a full time person so I had to quit. I’m not of age that I’m no longer limited to what I can make. So I’m seeking full time employment.
