My job duties here working in the front office was to ensure the safety of students on campus and if they have any medical emergencies that needed to be addressed. I would be the care of that, also any student that had diabetes for example
I would check their blood sugar throughout the day, and appropriately treat within my scope of practice, an RN would be on-site as well. Students that may have gotten injured out on the playground. They would come and see me. If the student was having a medical emergency that was not treatable on campus , it was my duty to Call 911, have the medics show up on scene, assess the child and any appropriate medical care or action that need to be taken would be addressed immediately. This was an on-call position for me.
