  • Obtained a settlement agreement with the Utah Republican Party after suing them for violating the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act for failing to accommodate disabled voters at their caucus meetings
  • Partnered with the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association to assist in the defense of a Deaf individual who was charged with a murder that occurred 40 years earlier
  • Litigated against a large hospital chain in Utah on two separate occasions for failing to provide effective communication for patients who are Deaf or hard of hearing
  • Litigated against a hospital in California for failing to provide effective communication for a deaf patient and obtained a second settlement agreement after the hospital failed to abide by the term of the settlement agreement in the first lawsuit
  • Obtained a settlement agreement with a hospital in Arizona on behalf of a Deaf patient who needed an ASL interpreter

  • Helped achieve justice for a Deaf individual who had not been properly represented by previous attorneys in prior criminal matters by obtaining an order that he was not competent to stand trial by reason of his mental impairment in multiple charges in both state and municipal court and securing better mental health services for the client

  • Partnered with an attorney in California to sue the City of San Diego and its law enforcement agencies failing to provide an ASL interpreter for a Deaf individual who was held in jail for five days without being charged with a crime

  • Worked to help pass Utah House Bill 112 which requires hearing aid vendors to educate their clients about how to get the most out of their hearing aid or cochlear implant and how venues are required to have Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)
  • Created a non-profit called the Hearing Loss Legal Fund in which provides education and advocacy about the rights of individuals who have a hearing loss
