Greetings, my name is Jared Alexander Batts, I am 25 years old and from Biloxi, MS. A little bit about myself is that I grew up in a military household, so I was fortunate enough to be able to live in some extraordinary places like Hawaii, Japan, North Dakota, and Mississippi. Growing up in a military household, that type of lifestyle has raised me to be a very responsible, respectful, and flexible person early on in life.
So far in my work experience, I have worked most of my time on a military installation base with a few months of being in the retail business at Sears. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be exposed to military etiquette that encompasses so many different backgrounds of people, and insight on military lifestyles and processes. Both jobs have given me the opportunity to continue to strengthen my leadership and communication skills.
My goal is to work in the Healthcare field. These jobs have sustained me financially as I worked my way towards completing my degrees. I have a strong passion for helping people and enjoy the satisfaction of providing help to people and promoting better quality of life.
I have a lot of things that I am proud of thus far in my life. I was able to handle adversity of moving from all over the world with being in a military household and still graduate with flying colors. I am a part of a distinct group of people from my middle school in North Dakota that was able to win Student-Athlete of the Year back-to-back years. I was able to obtain both Associates degrees within my first two years of college while being a member of the Honors College. I was able to graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology while having to deal with the COVID pandemic and overcome all the adversity and challenges that came with that. Throughout my undergraduate years, I joined numerous organizations like Collegiate 100, NPHC, and Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc., and was very active in those organizations. I have been on the Dean's List several times throughout my graduate school program and will graduate with my masters by the age of 25. My Master's in Healthcare Administration will be my fourth degree and I plan on joining the military and later on pursuing my doctorates.
