To further my career in the juvenile justice field by attaining the position of JJC PREA Coordinator, which requires critical thinking and applying cognitive behavior training to successfully implement structure and compassion for at-risk youth, as well as oversee and support line staff to ensure smooth daily operations of the Juvenile Justice Center. This entails, but is not limited to, adhering to policies and procedures, and investigations into all PREA-related matters within the facility. This includes coordinating with PREA investigators to maintain the integrity of programming, ensuring the facility is up to date on procedures.   • Attend all mandatory trainings, meetings and programming opportunities when required.
  • Training of newly hired staff and interns. This includes on boarding both in classroom settings and daily unit environment
  • Completing monthly coaching assessments of new hires to ensure optimal progress and competence in completing their duties as a Youth Counselor.
