Work History
Provider Contract Specialist
Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
Fayetteville
12.2024 - Current
My roles at Cape Fear Valley extend beyond my job title.
In the EPIC system, I work on overpayments and underpayments from insurances. I make underpayment claims with insurance companies via phone or website and follow up every two to four weeks.
I keep up with new insurance policies, ensuring specific policies are sent to the correct department throughout the hospital.
I am constantly using Microsoft programs for projects, and to show data comparing our hospital rates to other hospitals in our area, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
I sit in on our contract meetings with a large number of insurance companies. I review contract language on all current contracts, special contract provisions, and look for contract language that could be an issue.
Quality Control Foreman
The Ryan Company, Inc.
Norton
01.2022 - 12.2024
At the Ryan Company, I started out ensuring the correct assembly of all mechanical and electrical parts of the solar panel. I ensured the correct depth and width of all underground wires, making sure they were properly spaced, with no debris that could damage them after being filled.
I created spreadsheets of all data and uploaded photos of ongoing and finished projects, uploading them both for investors to see. I sat in on meetings with investors, explaining what was done and what was being completed, ensuring that the job was being done on time, with no setbacks.
Any issues found, I worked hard to fix, and I notated everything.
Thermal Spray Technician
Integrated Global Services, Inc.
Richmond
11.2017 - 01.2022
My position at Integrated Global Services required me to travel all over the world. I started out sandblasting the inside of boilers and applying a thermal spray, which is a protective coating to stop erosion and corrosion.
I was required to get my OSHA 10 and OSHA 30.
I followed strict safety policies, and learned how to be an effective team member.
This was a 12-hour-a-day, 6 to 7 days a week, intense job, which set me up to be the person I am today.
