Service Technician

• Get assigned a job order. Make contact with customer and collect as much information as possible. Gather parts from warehouse.
• Troubleshoot, install and repair vaccum blowers, air supply systems.
• Troubleshoot and install contactor's, breakers and relays. Able to work with 24v, 120v, 240 & 480v.
• Install and program variable speed drives
• Decommission old motors and gearboxes. Single Phase and Triple Phase up to 3/4 hp motors to 10 hp.
• Strip wires from Company equipment to power supply and configure software from Europe settings to American settings.
• Working in milk parlors, barns with dairy cows.
• Welding and fabrication material.
• Working with hand and power tools.
• Digging trenches for cables, wires and airlines
• Making conduit connections
• Safely using company provided vehicle to get from service call to service call or from jobsite to jobsite.
• Work on a on call rotation. Respond to emergency situations on dairy farms throughout the state of Michigan.

• Checked equipment to determine if maintenance was required.
• Verified completed projects met approved time, quality, and cost estimates.
• Trained new employees to learn new systems, apply best practices and comply with protocols and regulations.
• .Planned each job with appropriate safety measures, addressing weight limits and fall protection, fall zone. Created a daily Job Sight Analysis that went over safety on site. Progression on the project. Submitted info into management each day.
• Reviewed blueprints, specifications and drawings to fully understand project scope ahead of time.

• Bolted equipment into place using hand and power tools.
• Determined required installation methods and assembled proper tools and equipment to complete projects to specifications.
• Changed out batteries for [Network] sites.
• Drove truck and trailer to and from job sites.
• Examined malfunctioning radio equipment to locate defects such as loose connections, broken wires or burned-out componets.
• Worked with Tech Support (Nokia) to get alarms on site cleared.
• Working with new guys to the trade. Making sure they were always safe and comfortable while working at elevated heights.

• Tower lighting maintenance and installation, Bolt on structure modifications, tower mapping and regulatory inspections
• Using a cap stand and pulley system to descend and ascend old material, tools, equipment and new parts
• Comtrain Certified in Climbing and Rescue
• Performed troubleshooting and repair.
• Replaced light bulbs and coaxial cables on celluar Towers
• Drove truck and trailer to and from job sites
• Assisted in rigging operations for safe hoisting of heavy equipment on towers during installation projects.
