Diversity Event Coordinator:

During my junior year, my HIS 103 class planned and prepared to create a diversity event at our school. This event included several students setting up at different stations to teach their peers. We wanted to expand diversity beyond the obvious, which would be cultural and racial diversity. While we did include those aspects, we also included mental health, body positivity, music, clothing, food, etc. I helped call in visitors and speakers. In addition to that, I created a week long lesson plan for everyone's homeroom class prior to the event.
Veteran's Day Assembly/Luncheon Coordinator:
October 2021-November 2021
My HIS 102 class planned our school's Veteran's Day Assembly/Luncheon. I had the responsibilities of creating a video to be played during the assembly, singing the National Anthem as a member of the Chamber Choir, and giving the thank you speech. I gave my video group the idea of interviewing the school's veterans and getting students and staff to say their thanks in the video. My group members had the idea of getting multiple languages and music in the video, and others edited it.
Journalism Student:

I took Journalism as an elective in my sophomore year. In this class, I learned the different types of journalism, how to write a review, report my own stories, and how to be a responsible journalist. I attended every class and completed every assignment given to me. I also became responsible for writing articles for my school's newspaper: The Tatler.
