Work History
Bartender
Little Sister
10.2022 - Current
Little Sister has enhanced my multi-tasking abilities and knowledge in the culinary and mixology arts in an upscale environment.
Bartenders are responsible for serving as well as preparing fresh garnish, house made mixes, aesthetic basic and signature cocktails, as well as differentiating beers and wine.
With an ever changing food and drink menu, I am able to adapt swiftly.
I am currently head of bar and set the standard while training new employees.
Considering only one bartender is scheduled at a time, I am able to meet the demands of the entire restaurant independently.
Server and Banquet
Chart House
04.2022 - 12.2022
Chart House refined my service skills by formatting a fine dining routine.
Presentation, terminology, and timing were skills I acquired through my experience.
Servers were trained to follow a script, course meals at a proper pace, familiarize with fine wines, adapt to seasonal menu changes, and have a perfectly polished section.
As a gathering place for celebratory events such as anniversaries, birthdays, and even weddings, banquet serving required setting up for special events, operating large parties, and working with a team.
Server and Bartender
Mr. An’s Teppan Steak and Seafood
10.2020 - 02.2022
Mr. An’s is a fast-paced, high volume teppanyaki and sushi restaurant with reservation headcounts ranging from 100 to 700 daily.
It was highly associated with special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, and fundraisers, making dining at An’s almost always a special occasion.
I worked almost all areas of the restaurant, from the teppanyaki tables, to the sushi bar, to behind the bar.
It was not uncommon for me to juggle these various positions in a single shift, as I went where I was needed.
Servers were required to prep, pre-buss, serve large parties, course meals, sing happy birthday in Japanese, handle cash, and turn tables fast.
Bartenders were required to be efficient multitaskers since there were no barbacks.
When working in the bar, it would not be unusual for me to be the only cocktail server with a 17 table section, or the only bartender, working open to close.
Server
Risky Business Bar and Grille
06.2017 - 03.2020
Risky’s was a beloved neighborhood restaurant that provided a casual dining experience and sports bar.
Most clientele were regulars to the establishment, giving me the opportunity to build customer relationships and address them by name and even order.
Serving at Risky’s required a lot of multitasking, as it was expected to host, buss, expedite, take orders, and maintain customer satisfaction.
I was often scheduled as a shift leader which led me to supervise the fulfillment of other employees' duties.
I also trained many new hires and set the standard for a proper worker.
Team Member
Five Guys
06.2015 - 08.2016
As a team member, I would work both front and back of house.
Front of house positions included cashier, line-cook, sanitation maintenance, and quality control.
Back of house positions included food preparation and dishwashing.
When I opened, I'd prepare food, and when I closed I would break down the entire kitchen for proper cleanliness.
I trained multiple new hires and set the standard for an effective employee.
