Conduct wound care treatments such as debridement, dressing changes, irrigation and application of topical medications and use of wound vac. Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans for wounds. Perform routine skin assessments to identify potential problems or complications with wounds. Develop individualized patient-care plans based upon assessment findings. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients. Routinely perform Tracheostomy and Gastrostomy care, changing trach once a month aswell as gastrostomy tubes as per physicians orders.

Obtained blood samples for medical testing through venipuncture. Completed appropriate routing, handling, and processing of various medical specimens by: properly verifying samples to laboratory requisitions, verifying the correct sample(s) were received for the test(s) ordered, and documenting date and time specimen was received and/or any specimen discrepancies upon receipt of sample. Centrifuged samples and store them at the correct temperature as dictated by accepted specimen requirement and handling procedures. Prepared, label, store stock and work reagents. Performed data entry into the computer system. Worked collaboratively with patients, healthcare providers and patient support departments to ensure a high quality of service. Built trust and minimize patient discomfort during phlebotomy procedures through conversation and empathy. Counsel patients to ease fears, explain procedures and enhance cooperation during blood draws.
