The project is based on learning about the different dimensions of a single hair strand. Using a technique called laser diffraction, an automated process was constructed to record and demonstrate (as accurately) as many of the actual dimensions of a hair. This process includes using an interface called Arduino Uno for controlling the apparatus and a online CAD software called Onshape for designing.
Recorded all experimental observations accurately in a lab notebook following established protocols.
Participated in team meetings to discuss progress on projects and brainstorm solutions to problems encountered during research activities.
