Perform advanced and specialized duties in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City's sewer and surfacewater collection systems; perform a variety of preventive maintenance duties to include manhole ring and lid replacement. Inspect manholes to monitor flows; using high pressure jet/vacuum equipment and other specialized tools, wash, clean and flush sewer and surface water lines, retention and detention facilities, manholes and catch basins; perform line rodding to prevent root and grease accumulation. Assist maintenance personnel, troubleshoot system problems and direct the proper corrective action; insure all safety procedures are followed and make corrections as required Enter, work and direct the work of others in confined spaces and underground chambers following all rules, regulations, and procedures. Locate and raise manhole covers to provide access to system; replace manhole rings and lids; repair manhole bases and channels. Following environmental policies and best management practices remove debris and water from sewer systems using specialized equipment; decant water and dispose of solids following established procedures. Repair and replace sewer and surface water laterals and main lines to line and grade including locating, excavating, shoring, bedding, backfilling, compacting, and resurfacing as required.

Perform a variety of specialized duties in the construction, maintenance and repair of City streets, alleys, right-of-ways, bridges and sidewalks; prepare and perform excavation, subgrade preparation, surface treatments, paving, overlays, cold and hot patching and sealing. Blade and maintain road shoulders with a grader; clean and trench ditches and culverts; fabricate, repair and maintain standard roadside appurtenances. Assist with trench excavation to proper survey grade and line, laying of pipe, rechanneling of ditches and other aspects of storm/waste water system activities as assigned. Assist in the estimation of concrete material needed for pavement and finishing projects, including streets, catch basin repairs, sidewalks, driveways and curbs. Respond to and assist with the construction and maintenance needs of various departments and City maintenance personnel as it relates to streets, pipe line construction, flood control, waste removal, manhole repair and catch basin maintenance. Assists with Lead of the crew in the absence of the leads. Also assists in training of new personal to the requirements of the job.

Route-based Account Representative managing a pre-existing portfolio of accounts. Develop assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, prepare contracts for space allocation, and customer service. Solicit new business to increase volume and new package distribution within the area boundaries.
