• Ensures passenger safety on all MTS properties, trolleys, buses, stations, bus stops, transit centers and in paratransit vehicles.
• Assists and provides information to patrons and the public.
• Ensures compliance with all MTS Ordinances, Penal, Public Utility, Health and Safety and Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Codes, as approved by the Board of Directors, for enforcement on all MTS properties, trolleys, buses, stations, bus stops, transit centers and in paratransit vehicles.
• Enforces the fare ordinance by performing unannounced random inspection of fares on board trains and in fare paid zones.
• Enforces other violations including, but not limited to, narcotics and alcohol-related offenses, and quality of life violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Patrol on foot or by vehicle observing and maintaining the security protection at client facilities, stations, bus stops, and at public areas to detect evidence of damage, misuse or theft.

• Prevent the public and unauthorized individuals from entering all restricted areas of our client's facilities and right-of-ways.

• Routinely interface with the passengers, providing general information relative to use of the system and other necessary information.

• Prepare and submit security reports and provide assistance to investigators as required.

• Participate in Special Enforcement Unit activities to include routine fare inspection sweeps and passenger counts onboard and in fare paid zones and report accordingly.

• Respond effectively to all calls for assistance.

• Strived to maintain a positive client brand image.

• Treat Client’s employees, passengers and guests with the utmost courtesy and respect.

My longest assigned post was at a gated HOA and golf club community where I was a gate attendant. My duties at this post included but were not limited to:

• Access control
• Checking identification cards
• Responding to calls from residents
• Data entry
• Video surveillance
• Guest relations and customer service
• Receptionist duties

Prior to that, I was assigned to a medical research lab in La Jolla with similar duties as a guard. I was also occasionally asked to work at large private events with high profile attendees at hotels in the Downtown area.
