I have almost 20 years of service with the KCK Fire Department. I spent 14 of those years on the city's busiest suppression apparatus (Pumper 1) as a backend firefighter, and firefighter driver. I also rode out of title as an Acting Captain for the majority of my career as well. I'm a highly trained, and motivated firefighter with in-depth knowledge of safely suppressing fires, EMS incidents. I am also certified, and proficient with numerous other disciplines for fire dept services.. I think quickly under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations. I understand the the importance of teamwork , and proper leadership in the fire service. While I'm confident with knowledge and capabilities as a firefighter, I do not get content, or satisfied. I am always looking to improve, learn new things, and grow as a firefighter and a person.
