  • Maintained efficiency and accuracy while adapting to last-minute changes and urgent priorities, such as identifying suitable factories and coordinating with them to expedite production in response to client-requested design changes.
  • Gained hands-on experience with production procedures, completing over 20 cut tickets and purchase orders (POs).
  • Coordinated with 5+ material suppliers to confirm product specifications and to fulfill orders efficiently and timely (or you can say “to fulfill orders in a timely manner with the least amount of waste on resources)

Graduate Capstone Project
New York

  • Implemented multiple fabric dyeing techniques (i.e. marble dye, tied dye, etc.)
  • Developed fabric manipulation techniques (wrinkle, regular pleats, boning, etc.)
  • Researched and organized a project based on psychology theory, using Melanie Klein as the inspiration, exposing the ego that both protects and defends ourselves, using layered structures and striped dye to present the dissociative and distorted state described in this intrapsychic phenomenon.
  • Transformed abstract concepts - mental activities, intrapsychic phenomenon, emotions, etc. into combinations of illustrations, fabrics and formal patterns.
  • Efficiently communicated design concepts with organizers of the student runway shows and showcased two sets of unisex looks, featuring organic shapes and colorways, received inquiry and interest on the structural details from the audience.

Student

Clo3D Project
New York
08.2023 - 12.2023
  • Developed creative silhouettes, featured irregular shapes such as pointed sleeve caps and oversized, boxy patterns based on drafting technique through Clo3D software.
  • Created multiple embossed textures and prints with high-saturation colorways on unisex outerwears, shirts, skirts and baggy pants in Clo3D software.
  • Obtained comprehensive understanding of precise pattern-making, able to transform basic patterns to tailor towards customers' specific needs.
  • Created series of unique logos and tags to convey and achieve highly differentiated branding on my personal brand- Void. Through the ideology of the duality of impermanence and eternity, the brand appealed to customers who want to remain gender-neutral, encouraged expression of one's full range of emotions, and sought to provide outlets to drive aspiration, positivity and creativity in one's life journey. The loopy graphics of logos stand for impermanence and eternity, which are accordant with the concept of the project- redigest negative elements in life and refine them into positive spirits.

  • Designed highly geometrical silhouettes by implementing dart manipulation on patterns and achieved three-dimensional creativity on the design of jackets.
  • Completed advanced sewing process and details such as partial lining, welt pocket, pants fly and flat fell seam.
