Senior R&D Lab Technician

  • Perform testing for the Engineering and Quality department.
  • Acquire data and producing test reports.
  • Create test plans for new testing.
  • Create and maintain test equipment/fixtures in the R&D lab.
  • Acquire capital equipment for the R&D lab to support growth and test capabilities. Integrated a FANUC robot into the lab for use of industry standard testing on products.
  • Maintain relationships with account managers at RCO the FANUC robot integrator and making capital equipment purchases with them in support of robot testing.
  • Utilize OMEGA, Agilent, National Instruments, and LabVIEW data acquisition software, Thermal imaging equipment, MTS, Cornell, and IDM test equipment.
  • Obtain UL/ETL safety listing and reports for new products and modifying current UL/ETL reports.
  • Obtain FCC part 15.247 certification of new products.
  • Design validation testing on hardware and software for 360, Sleep IQ, Dual Temp, Flex Fit and Kids bed.
  • Replicate field failures of products to quantify life of product designs currently in the field.
  • Creating FMEA’s for new products
  • Creating DVP&R’s from FMEA’s
