In this leadership position, I was responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient day-to-day operations of the public school district’s Transportation Department, with emphasis on professionalism and attention to detail.
Administrative duties included, but were not limited to. Direct support for the transportation director. Attending district meetings, transportation conferences, computer software/transportation programs, employee management, payroll, hiring procedures, standard operating procedures, vehicle and fuel management, vendor contracts, drug testing, monthly staff safety meetings, and transportation liaison for local, state, and federal regulation compliance.
Operation duties included, but were not limited to. Managing a large team that includes bus drivers, bus attendants, routing/dispatch coordinators, mechanics, and certified trainers.
