• Fabrication and testing of multiple axis grab cum magnetic crane

(Major Project )

Metallic objects are to be moved to various places for which they need to be tied to crane sling. This must be performed many times during the manufacturing process, which is one of the time consuming/risky processes. As a part of the project dissertation, fabrication and testing has been done for prototype demonstrating the operations like longitudinal movement, lateral movement and axial movement using Grab arm or Electro magnet.

• Computer Aided Design, Structural and Thermal Analysis of Disk Brake Rotor

(Minor Project)

This project deals with the important design aspects of brake discs with the emphasis on material selection methods, thermal analysis, and structural analysis and optimization. The disc plate will be modeled using CATIA V5R20 software and thermal and structural analysis will be carried out using ANSYS WORKBENCH 17.2 software.

The design of Hundai Creta Disc Pads have been used to perform the virtual tests with exact material properties used by the company. Have also tested with various material types to compare the efficiency and suggest the best fit for the purpose.
