- Since and early age, I have been very active in my school's choir program and my churches worship band and choir.
- With high school choir, that experience taught me how to work with others and blend as a group. It also was taught by my amazing voice teacher Barbara Kelley, who has taught me almost everything I know and love about music.
- I am also very active in church and have brought that with me to Lexington as I am a scholarship singer at MAxwell Street Presbyterian Church

- I have been an All-State Vocalist for eight years, and I have made it every time I tried out from 5th grade until senior year.
- During my junior and senior years at All-State, I was a soloist.
- Being in these choirs and working with such talented instructors as Dr. Redding and many others have shaped me into the vocalist I am today.

- In these three weeks, I was pushed to my limits vocally and mentally. But it was the most rewarding experience and I'm so thankful for the connections and knowledge that I gained from GSA
