High School Volleyball Libero Mar. 2018 to June 2021: In high school I played men's volleyball. In this, I learned leadership, comradery, problem solving skills, critical thinking, and sympathy. Eventually, my junior year, I was awarded a captain's patch, given to only the most keen on the team. With this came the responsibility of uplifting my teammates when they're down, setting the competitive pace in practice, and I even took it upon myself to work with individuals outside of practice in order to sharpen individual skills for game day.
Civil Air Patrol Airman First Class May 2018 to Aug. 2019: Civil Air Patrol was an air force auxiliary unit aimed at giving teenagers an opportunity to learn important life skills such as how to make a fire, how to perform CPR, etc. In this, we learned discipline, respect, and sympathy, as we would constantly be tested physically, mentally, and emotionally. The main goal was to persuade teenagers to join the military, giving them a shot at scholarship benefits. Activities included physical training, aircraft and space engineering courses, survival tactics lessons, encampments for leadership training, and more.
High School Football Wide Receiver Aug. 2017 to Dec. 2021: In high school I played men's football. Much of this included weight lifting, film study, and agility training. This has kept my feet even after high school. It has also played a role in my drive to remain active and not procrastinate, as it taught me the value of hard work, endurance, and a powerful mindset.
